I started a the Bay Point BART station and crossed the valley on Rt. 4. Here's a narrow trestle bridge crossing the Old River, near Discovery Bay.

And some landcape views, Donnell Lake, along the middle fork of the Stanislaus river, and two mountain views as I approached the Sonora pass around sunset.
